No. We're only able to accommodate students who are actively enrolled in a Post-Secondary Institution program. However, our Fellowship Program may be a great option for you. The Fellowship Program connects you to 12 months of entrepreneurial training, startup connections, and a community of like-minded young people.

  2. I'm not yet eligible to work in Canada; can I apply for the Intrapreneurship Program?
No. Due to funding restrictions, at this time we're not able to accommodate students who are not eligible to work or study in Canada. To be eligible for the Intrapreneurship Program, students must hold Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or refugee status.

  3. Do I need any experience to join the Intrapreneurship Program?
You do not need experience to join the Intrapreneurship program. We focus on soft skills and encourage you to explore different skills and roles that you are interested in but may not be related to your topic of study.

A cohort runs for a total of 7 weeks. This year, we are hosting cohorts in July, September, November and January 2026.

VFC pays students $22.00 per hour with a maximum of 60 hours in the 7 week cohort, for a total of $1,320 if all 60 hours are completed. Students who have completed the 7 weeks and have submitted their student exit survey will be paid approximately 30 days after the student exit survey is submitted.

  7. If I like my Intrapreneurship Program experience, can I come back for another cohort?
Yes! As long as you are actively enrolled in a Post-Secondary Institution program during the cohort you are interested in participating again, you are welcome to join as many cohorts as you would like to.

  8. How is an Intrapreneurship project assigned to me? Do I get to choose my project?
As a student you will receive a list of projects that you are able to choose from. During our Orientation days you will choose the project that you would like to participate in. Because of the high volume of students participating it is highly recommended that you choose up to 5 projects that you would like to participate in, in case your first few choices are no longer available.

  9. I already have an employer I’m interested in working with. Can we participate in the Intrapreneurship Program together?
If the employer has also applied for the program and their project has been approved you are welcome to choose their project at our live Orientation Days. However, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to work on any specific project as other students may choose the project and fill all available student spots.
